my 2 cents on the Ironman swim being cancelled. It is an IRONMAN, its not supposed to be easy. The water was very warm and we had wet suits on so thats basically a flotation device. The Bike was cold as heck and people quit the race after the bike because they were frozen. Honestly, i only been swimming a few years and been riding my whole life. I would have have preferred to swim that chop for an hour or so then freeze my ass for 112 miles on bike !!! Coming soon, cx swim and cx bike and you can get an Ironman finisher certificate for doing a marathon ? Yeah yeah, i know its all about safety in the water but maybe folks will look out there and realize they arent prepared, go home and get prepared for next year... Anyway, its freezing up here now and i feel for the folks who came out to do a Full Ironman and were prepared and had to miss out on the opportunity. Its bad for business if folks get swept away, and it is a business after all.......my two cents
