...my MOST unromantic hubby on Planet Earth is back home. NO Anniversary gift for the wifey... Even though this wifey had posted early early on fbk... Had hinted many many on whatsapp... About our Anniversary. Instead he got a baby Cockatiel. Must admit its super cute. But for Anniversary gift its a huge big FAIL... But our little boy is the Happiest, learning to feed to bathe, to cuddle, to care for the bird. Anything that makes the little boy happy, makes this mummy happy also lah. This baby bird reminded me of a story when we were in Pakistan. Hubbys cousin Jamil was a Bird Lover & had many many pigeons kept in this huge cage on the roof top of the family home in Mansehra. It was winter, the hubby had asthma & had difficulty adjusting to the weather change. Our whole family was not used to the super cold weather. We had to wear many many layers of thick clothings, sat near the heater all the time, & wrapped ourselves with super thick blankies. Temperatures hit -12 degrees at one point... One day hubby just mentioned to his Masi (aunty) while we were sunning at the roof top terrace near the pigeons cage, that actually pigeon soup is good for asthma. The next thing, for our next meal, there was a pot of hot soup with some meat. His cousin Jamil, was no where to be seen that day. We found out his Masi had taken one of Jamils favourite pet Pigeons & cooked it in that soup for hubby. No wonder Jamil disappeared during that meal. He couldnt bear to watch the hubby gobbling up his pigeon. The hubby felt really bad after that meal. And this wifey made him feel guilty throughout the rest of our stay.. Hahahaha! Missing everyone in Pakistan... Picture 2 is hubby and his cousin Jamil taken at Mansehra, Pakistan 18 yrs ago. :D :D :D
