my car was vibrating and making clunking noises when i put iy in reverse. i was told by every mechanic it was a transmission mount. so i put in a new one. it still vibtated so i replaced the strut mounts and radiator mounts. it still did the same thing. so i looked at the motor mount. it was totally gone. so i replaced it and absolutly no vibtations and no more clunking noises. so, if your car is vibrating and clunks when you put it in reverse, check the motor moumts. my car is a grand prix gt..3800 motor..
