my daughter bought a samsung laptop in powercity in July 2013 she was told it was guaranteed for 1 year, the laptop stopped working about about 2 months ago powercity would not give her a new one and sent it away to B A V S to be repaired she got it back about 10 days later there was no charge as the problem was a major fault in the laptop itself. The laptop has again stopped working and I brought it back to powercity and they refused toreplace it or give a refund and again has gone back to B A V S to be repaired again. I rang Samsung Customer Support and asked them to replace the laptop or refund the cost, they said the laptop has to go for repair 3 times before they would consider replacement or refund I asked if the guarantee would be extended to allow for breakdown I was told no that it was for 1 year from time of purchase so if the laptop breaks down in August 2014 for the 3 time it is out of guarantee. This is very bad policy from Samsung so needless to say we will never buy a Samsung product again and as Powercity never informed us what we would have to go through, all they said when the laptop was bought was to keep the receipt as that was the guarantee they must take a lot of the blame for this problem. My daughter uses the laptop for projects she has to do for her college course so to not have the laptop for about 20 days so far is not acceptable. So Samsung or Powercity do the right thing and replace or refund ASAP.
