my first lock-in in years. after i write a book about the ecclesiology of the muppets, i am going to write a book about my philosophy of youth ministry. it of course is rooted in the deep wisdom of jerry seinfeld & george costanza: while big steeple churches and mall churches are always doing something, well do nothing. everybody is always doing something. well do nothing. so tonight, all we have planned is sharing stories, breaking bread, and having fun in the church. because, the church--the building--can be a place of enjoyment, excitement, and entertainment. good people. good food. and good laughter. i hope we dont keep the church mouse up too late...
