my little doggie is having cluster seizures again this morning (started at 2 a.m) so...i cannot get ahold of the vet--as usual, so I broke down and gave him Valium this morning, just now. Yes, it is okay to give to dogs. .25 - 1mg per pound...he got 2.5 He weighs 10 pounds. (11 actually)... I really need to get him into a different vet...needless to say...exhaustion at 2 a.m. I missed the first one until he started his walking stage and fell off bed....after seizure....he walks in circles, breathes heavy, and bumps into everything. Then he starts barking at the moon (so to speak) for an hour or more.....its really really sad.....they use valium for help stop the seizures...waiting for it to kick in now so the poor little thing can rest.....
