my take on why Reus won’t join Arsenal: Reus was 22 when he said that he likes the Arsenal culture (in 2011) before he joined Dortmund. Back then he tried to trick Wenger into approaching him as we have that reputation for developing youth players. Now at age of 25 he’s a world class player. He doesn’t need that youth development anymore. Arsenal can’t offer him anything that he wouldn’t get in Dortmund in terms of wages, CL football. Both club mentalities are similar, if he goes for move abroad then surely he will be seeking a new challenge very different to Borussia. Thats why I believe that Dortmund’s fan favourite wont be joining Arsenal this summer.
