new to the group so thanks for letting me in. No troll here. Wanted to share my dislike of people swindling money off of this new age crap. what changed my view on new age was reading some these books and just thinking about the qualities they share it seemed like they were all written by the same people or at least edited. Im sure most of you know this - A Course in Miracles is book by Helen Schucman with portions transcribed and edited by Dr William Thetford. It is a book first published in 1976. It did not acquire notoriety until 1992, when sales spiked after Marianne Williamson discussed the book on The Oprah Winfrey Show. This book was written between 1965 and 1972. Around 1971 Dr. Thetford was beginning his work on another project. Some might have heard of it. He was experimenting in the behavioral engineering of humans also known as MK Ultra. This book is considered one of the cornerstones of the New Age movement. What im looking into now is a connection between Nazi Germany and Eckhart Tolle dont know if there is one. This guy changed his name to Eckhart for marketing reasons im sure and is said to come from the German theologian, philosopher and mystic Meister Eckhart who was admired by tthe nazi party. There might be something with the Heidelberg University not sure still digging.
