newsday.co.tt/politics/0,189721.html A TOTAL of $5 million was spent on repairs to Bon Air Government Primary over the period 2010 to 2012, Minister of Education Dr Tim Gopeesingh, told Parliament yesterday. Speaking during Question Time, Gopeesingh said the repairs included work on the school’s plumbing; flooring work; toilet repairs; installation of lighting fixtures; installation of garbage disposal unit; fence repairs; unplugging of floor drains; and installation of a new roof with a “radiant heat barrier”. Gopeesingh said a total of $9.95 million had been spent repairing schools in the Arouca/Maloney constituency but did not provide a break-down. He once more said the State had spent a total of $550 million in repairs overall. Gopeesingh said the school was one of 850 which was under constant monitoring by the Ministry.
