no need to be too modest about your coffee versus that of Brazil. It concerns BULK coffee and not special coffee. Ugandan coffee may actually be of more than comparable quality. Price volatility has been with coffee ever since it was traded, and as long as farmers respond to a high price, for whatsoever reason, with recovery work or new planting, there will be low prices when a new saturation point has been reached. Speculators drive the peaks and troughs, and every authority makes the best out of its climate abnormalities, whether they are really relevant or not. There may be a relative shortage of Arabica in 2015, but replacement in the blends with Robusta is a clear option for all blends that serve the bulk of consumers
