not finished yet but this is wat i got so far: THE VIRUS London’s docks were alive with the bustle of a days end. Ships crowded together - so many that you could barely see the dark water between them, their masts a forest of tall thin trees. Across the river the Tower of London shone red in the light of the setting sun. The sailors and dock hands, busy about the boats, were painted red and black with stripes of sunset. Celaena Sardothien lurked beside a pile of weathered crates from a Calcutta merchant ship. She was a thin and wiry girl with pale blond hair and bright scarlet eyes. London’s docks had been her home for all her seventeen years. She loved the exoctic scents of spices from far-off places, the familiar smell of ships tar, and even the sour stench of the rank river mud when the tide was low. But most of all she loved the opportunities the docks presented. one such opportunity was headed her way right now. A gentleman in a frock coat and top hat was escorting a lady through the hustle and bustle of the dockside. The elegant couple picked their way through the crowd, around the crates, and over coils of rope. They clearly were not used to this place. Perhaps they were meeting someone, or maybe the man had an interest in a cargo somewhere. Celaena darted forward. “Meeting a ship sir?”, she asked with a bright smile. “show you where?”, The man looked her up and down and wrinkled his nose. The woman just glared at her. Neither had any time for a dockside urchins. “I think not”, the man replied stiffly. They walked off and the man reached to his hip pocket to make sure his wallet was still there. Celaena ran through the crowd. It wouldn’t take long before the man realized she had replaced his wallet with a small handbook. She ran until she was at the end of the docks then hid behind a pile of crates. She unfolded the mans wallet and looked through its contents. She found five dollars worth of coins, a shopping list, and a mini sheet of paper with the alphabet translated into a language she did not understand. she put the money and shopping list in her pocket and looked over the translation sheet: A (-) B (-I) C (-\) D (I--) E (III) F (I-) G (/-) H (I-I) I (-I-) J (-/) K (I/I) L (I) M (I\/I) N (I\I) O (///) P (I-\) Q (\\) R (I\) S (--) T (\\\) U (//) V (II) W (I/\I) X (\) Y (\/) Z (/) Celaena read the sheet over a few times then put it in her pocket and walked off to find her brother. (I)(-)(\\\)(III)(I\) Celaena was sitting on a large cargo box watching her brother goof off. He walked past a kid holding an unopened lollipop and swapped it for a stick without the kid knowing. Celaena tried her best not to laugh as her brother danced around. “Chaol! Stop it!”, she laughed. Her brother spun toward her and held out the lollipop. “ ‘ello poppet care for a lollipop?” he asked in his best british accent. She reached out to grab the lollipop from her brother but just as she was about to take it one of the dockhands ran by muttering to himself. “Aint natural…...Nothin like it” The man said. Celaena and Chaol looked at each other then at the man and then at the newly arrived ship the man came from but there was nothing there.Without warning Celaena jumped down from the crate and ran to the ship dragging her brother behind her. She dragged her brother on board but it was empty. There was no cargo, captain or crew on board. The two siblings split up and looked around. “Hey Chaol over here” Celaena called from the portside. Celaena was sticking her head down into a trap door that led down under the deck into a dark room. Chaol pulled out a match and lit it reaching down as for as he could they saw large shadows almost like bats but three times the size. Celaena jumped down to get a better look. When she got down all she saw was large figures that looked like bats but were five times the size. “ ‘ey brother come check this out,” she called up to him. Chaol slid down feet first into the hole. “Holy shit!!! what the hell are those things?!?!,” He backed up slowly staring into the deep red eyes of whatever laid before him. The sound of his voice echoed off the walls and the creatures before them started moving then they started flying around and out of the ship into the night sky.
