not to pick on ryan braun in particular, but do people realize that he has been suspended from 65 games...about 1/4 of the games played in any given summer, and this amounts to losing THREE AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS? do people realize what an obscenely HUGE amount of money is given to professional sports players? how can this even be? if I add it up right, that means ryan braun makes on the average 14 million dollars a summer. there is just something so wrong about us permitting this to be status quo for professional sports. I am personally boycotting all sports, because this is SO out of proportion. I helped a man I know today with $40 worth of groceries. he will make this last two weeks with the help of food banks. I have no money left to help ANYONE. is this right? is this fair? do we just have our heads in the sand?
