now if you read this. read the whole thing..... makes you think a lil so you want to et a degree.. why? them me tell you wat society will tell you. increases your chances of getting a job, provides you a opportunity to be successful, your life will be a lot less stressful. education is the key. now let me tell you wat your parents will tell you. MAKE ME PROUD, increases your chance of getting a job, provides you a opportunity to be successful, your life will be a lot less stressful. education is the key. now lets look at the statistics. Steve Jobs, net worth 7 billion(R.I.P). Richard Branson, net worth 4.2 billion. Opra Whinfrey, net worth 2.7 billion. Mark Zuckenburg, Henry Ford, Steven Splielberg, Bill gates. now here comes the coop the grace. looking at these individuals wats your conclusion? neither of them in being successful never graduated from higher learning institution. now some of you protest like you kno money is only the medium by which one measures worldly success. and some of you even have the nerve to say I dont do it for the money. so wat are you studying for? to work for a cherity? need more clarity? lets look at the statistics. Jesus, Muhamad, Socrates, Malcolm X, Mother Theresa, Spielberg, Shakespeare, Beethoven, Jesse Owens, Muhammad Ali, Sean Carter, Micheal Jeffery Jordan, Micheal Jospeh Jackson, we either of these people successful or uneducated? all im saying is that if there was a family tree, hard work and education would be related. but school would probably be a distant cousin. as if education is the key school is the lock. because it rarely ever develops your mind to the point where it can perceive that red is green and continue to go when someone else said stop. cause as long as you follow the rules and pass the exams your cool. but are you aware that examiners have a check list, and if your answer is something outside of the box, the automatic response is a cross. and they claim that school expands your horizons and your visions. well tell that to Malcolm X when he dropped out of school and now he is world renowned for wat he learned in a prison. proverbs 17:16. it does a fool to spend money on a education. why? because he has no common sense. George Bush, need I say more. education is about inspiring onces mind, not just filling their head. and take this from me because I am a educated man myself. and only came to this realization after countless nights in the library with a can of red bull to keep me up till dawn and another can in the morn. fallin asleep in between piles of books which probably equivalated to the same amount to which I spent on my rent. memorizing equations, facts, and dates right down to the letter. and half of which I never remember and half of which I would forget straight after the exam and before the start of the next semester. askin anyone if they had notes from the last lecture. I often found myself running to class just so I can find a spot to rest my head and fall asleep without making a scene. I run it, cause thats the only time I spent in university chasing my dream. and then after nights with a dead mind I then find in a queue of half awake studunts zombies waiting to hand in an assignment maybe thats why they call it a dead line. then after 3 years of mental separation and frustration.... my proud mother didnt even turn up to my graduation. now im not saying that school is evil and nothing to gain, all im saying is understand your motives and reassess your aims. cause if you want a job working for someone else help yourself, but then that would be a contradiction because you wouldnt really be helping yourself. you would be helping somebody else. there is a sane which says if you dont build your dream then someone else will hire you to help build theirs. redefine how you view education. understand its true meaning. education is not just regurgitating facts from a book on someone elses opinion on a subject to pass an exam. look at it Picasso was educated in creating art. Shakespeare in the art of all that was written colonel Harland sanders was educated in the art of creating Kentucky fried chicken. I once saw david beckham take a free kick. I watched as the side of his boot hit the paten leather ball at a angle a which it caused it to travel towards the skys as if it was distend for the heavens. then as it reached the peak of its momentum as tho it changed its mind and switched direction. I watched as the goal keeper froze as tho resighting to himself the laws of physics. and as tho his brain was negotiating with his eyes that was indeed witnessing the spectacle of the leather swan that was swooping towards it. and then reacted, but only a mili second to late. and before the net of the goal embarrassed the fifa sports of balls that was the proticall of the sun returning home. and the country that I live in erupted in to cheers. I looked at the play and thought, damn. looking at david beckham, there is more than one way to be a educated man. peace
