now understands, that, in addition to oil, gas, coal, and farm subsidies, and other corporate largess, such as deductions for private jets and a 15% tax rate for astronomical rates of returns for hedge funds, etc., do not count as free stuff, that $1.50 a day for food and federally subsidized health is an unconscionable theft from the pockets of hard-working, honest, real apple pie Americans. Thank God that we have Fox and Friends to keep us on track. Fox News: Obama gives free stuff because his grandmother didnt trust black men Robert Sobel Orlando Liberal Examiner October 16, 2013 Fox News decided to take another shot at President Obama, this time trying to dissect his mindset when it comes to food stamps and his relationship with the Tea Party. Since the government shut down on October 1st, the majority of the American people have put the blame on the doorstep of the Republican party, in particular the partys Tea Party caucus. Media and politicians have described the Tea Partys demands as hostage taking, causing the country to come close to default in the process. To dig deeper into the issue, Fox News decided to bring on regular Fox News contributor and psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow to speak with the crew of Fox and Friends. When asked why he thought the president felt victimized by the Tea Party and felt the need for giving away free stuff, Ablow gave his response. “I think the president, going back to when his dad abandoned him, when his mother left him with his grandparents, when he describes his grandmother as intimating, that she didnt trust men of color, that all of those things led him to feel victimized, hurt and injured...and he has extended it to this country. So, he comes to the corner office to right wrongs and to offer the mantle of victimization to as many people who will share it with him as possible....More food stamps, don’t learn to feed yourself, don’t find it within yourself to pull yourself up. Simply say, Ive been victimized...Hence, I need more unemployment, more food stamps, more free health care. And you know why? Because those other people are bad. And that’s what weve been hearing from him.” President Obama came into office in January of 2009 and had to deal with the worst financial situation since President Franklin Roosevelt had to clean up the mess left by three straight Republicans in 1933. While the recovery isnt moving as fast or as smooth as many might hope, it is moving in the right direction. The number of applicants on food stamps and unemployment are too high, but are needed to sustain the current economic flow as the country claws its way to prosperity. With record obstruction by Republicans in both the House and Senate, President Obama has had a tough battle in front of him when it comes to the economy. For Fox News or any right-wing news outlet to attempt to personalize and criticize the president over a result of policies that the Republican party failed to push through only shows their ignorance and utter incompetence.
