nsoredevotional - 26th October 2014 Sundays Message Title of the Message - WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? Memory Verse - 11. Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. 12. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. (Jeremiah 1:11-12) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) Message *The eye is one of the most powerful and delicate aspect of the human senses. It is also a window to the mind and the heart consequently. The window function of the eye is exercise through looking. Looking is the exercising of the vision power on a person or thing. Its about setting the eye in a particular direction. Without looking, seeing cannot be possible. Seeing is about detecting and perceiving with the eye. Were able to interpret the things we look at through seeing. Seeing brings the mind into action. The interpretation of the things looked at and seen enters the heart when looking and seeing continues. God been aware of the importance of seeing is always asking you this question in your heart, WHAT ARE YOU SEEING? *In Jeremiah 1:11, God ask the prophet Jeremiah this question. What was His response? I see a rod of an almond tree. And what was Gods response? Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Wow! God said He will hasten or watch over his word to perform when He realized Jeremiah was seeing well. In order words,Gods word will only manifest in our lives if we see it well. *Seeing well is all about seeing the way God sees. Its about seeing with the eye of God. God always see results and fruitfulness in His plans. Jeremiah was seeing fruitfulness by seeing the rod of an almond tree. Whereas Olive tree symbolizes the Holy Spirit, an almond tree depicts the word of God. The similarity between the two trees is fruitfulness. Almond tree represent the fruitfulness of the word of God. That is the prevalence of the word of God. We see in Acts 19:20 that the word of God has a prevailing ability. Jeremiah was seeing the fruitfulness and prevailing abilities of the word of God. He was seeing the way God sees. The God who see light in the midst of darkness. *We must understand that the system around us is demonically structured to sway the believer. The various sins being committed in the world fights against the believer. So many kinds of sicknesses are around trying to affect the believers spirit. The economy is so bad that many are struggling to survive. But beloved, WHAT ARE YOU SEEING? Do you see God in all these challenges? Do you see the way God sees. We must know that our miracle in the midst of all these challenges depends on our perception about the situation. This is what influences our seeing. Thus we must see the word in the midst of challenges and believe that it has the ability to influence any situation. Begin to see the light and command the light in the midst of all darkness in the name of Jesus. STAY BLESS. - See more at: https://nsoredevotional/member/church_devotional#sthash.YjJoX1wV.dpuf
