of late people have been asking about using high doses of pancreatic enzymes in the prevention of cancer and well my response is the balance of how much enzymes we secrete and utilize in our bodily functions is a very delicate thing. For you see the growth and tolerance of trophoblast by the body is a very labile thing. were it not, pregnancy or reproductions would be impossible. for you see in the absence of the ability of the host to destroy trophoblast there would be no visible embryo; they would all be destroyed; together with the maternal host, by trophoblast. In the presence of an excessive ability of the host to destroy trophoblast there would be no implantations of conceptuses and thus no reproduction. SO basically in short massive doses of pancreatic enzymes could probably not upset this gestational balance. But effectively adequate concentrations of pancreatic enzymes are necessary in gestation(1) to prevent the overgrowth of trophoblastic cells(2) to facilitate the mechanisms of the action of giving birth. a prime example of what Im saying would be in pregnant women with non-insulin pancreatic insufficiency( diabetes properly controlled through insulin injections) there is an impressive overgrowth of trophoblastic cells, the extent of which is reflected quantitatively in the CGH titer.
