oh my what a busy holiday we have had. I thought id catch up with everything that has happened now I have some time to do so.Well we applied to family fund for some fencing in around March time, they got back to us saying yes they would love to help but they could only give us £500 towards it, and as our garden is 22 meters wide that really wasnt going to cover much. So instead of the fencing we got a new cooker yay!. Which is fantastic as Aidan had broken our old one, he turned the grill on (electric) while it was still closed and it set on fire.....that was scary.... But when they came to see us they suggested we asked the council if they could do something about the fencing for us, I really didnt expect them to say yes or to be honest even consider it but they have and they are going to help!! yay again. They cant possibly do all the garden as its huge, but it will allow the boys to play outside in safety which is fantastic. Another fantastic thing happened a few days before school started I was looking on the Rotherham disability Facebook page and a lovely lady was offering a disability buggy for free!!! and as you know I have been waiting for Aidans assessment for a while now....so I asked if I could have it...she said yes I mean what timing ;P it is fantastic! I really believe that is why he had such a great day yesterday. I am still going to try and get Aidans buggy but then I will be able to give this one away to someone else that needs it. I hope Aidan does better with his dinner today, we are trying him with school dinners for 2 weeks as he will still be part time. He needs time to get used to changes but that is to be expected. Oh I almost forgot a friend told me about a charity that had great sensory equipment (good for all 3 boys) called Caudwell children so I thought id look into it, when I went to the website I saw that they did aba therapy (Applied Behaviour Analysis)which I have been looking into for Aidan already. Its not that common in the uk yet but is widely used in American and other countries. It reminds me of the work that his portage worker did with him and he worked really well with that method. We have applied for the funding for that and for some sensory equipment, we must sound so needy! but if it helps my boys I am willing to do anything to help. Well I had better go and get something done, I need to wash the boys school uniform already...Aidan is having (hopefully) mince and gravy for dinner so he will need a clean one for the morning.
