oh western medicine, with your paperwork and timetables and linear approach to treatments. yes, as we all suspected, I probably have a herniated L5 disk. And yes, in 80% of patients, it will heal itself in 6-8 weeks. (Im on week 5 and feeling considerable improvement). Theyve prescribed neurontin for the nerve pain. And yes, Id have to have an MRI before theyll consider an epidural, and all of that may take 1-2 weeks to schedule, approve, new appt.... and by then, Im thinking I will be fine.... breathing, on ice, waiting for my prescription and praying I dont experience any of the possible dizzying side effects.
