ok so ALL my friends can look at the minimum wage debate through my eyes: good idea, but it doesnt give more money to the poor..... causes not only inflation but if forces corporate greed to secure profits by technological and ergonomically upgrades but more importantly cutting not only jobs but hours worked, so someone making 40 hrs gets 30 so overall there is less $ in circulation. This is politics at its finest. See people will now be more dependent on Government assistance. Food stamps, unemployment, medical and so on. So Raising the min wage 2 years prior to a presidential election helps secure the political base. It wins them votes by making more swing votes dependent on Democratic funded policy. Its part reason in a time of a recession we have gone completely blue it helps push the remaining agenda. Brilliant politics!
