okay, folks, bear with me: I was given the number 14 by Kristi Bright Sparrenberger. 1. Born in Itawamba County (that’s Fulton, Mississippi) – college-educated and literate 2. I’m a fourth-generation “preacher’s child”. 3. I’m the “warped middle child” of 3 girls (just ask Rose and Carol) 4. Once I finished 4th grade, my family moved 6 times in 8 years. 5. I went to 3 highschools in 4 years. . My last 2 years of highschool were at Murfreesboro Central (TN) – had a college-level band director – were the Triple A State Championship Band – won a trip to the Orange Bowl Parade and won the band competition – led the Orange Bowl Queen in the parade – 10-day trip to Miami my Senior year! 6. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked, “how tall ARE you”??? -- 5’9” (barefoot). My height does NOT make me an athlete – I can lay on a float, with a book in one hand and a glass of tea in the other – without falling off, though. OH! But I HAVE floated OFF a pool, though - - - 7. One of the highlights of growing up was going to Mid-South Youth Camp for 9 summers. The only college I ever wanted to go to was Freed-Hardeman (likely because of MSYC). 8. My two sisters and I all married our “Chapel partner” (not pre-arranged by us either) A highlight of attending FHU (second only to meeting Tim) was being a member of A Cappella Singers. From that, I got to sing for President George W. Bush (along with a WHOLE LOT of others) through our Alumni Choral Group (Ill Sing On, under the direction of John Robert Hall). 9. I love music – pretty much all kinds except for whiney/nasally country (oh – and rap) – choral, orchestra, piano, A Cappella, -- no instrument can sound like the human voice, though. 10. I love to fly – anywhere! – I would go anywhere once and have been blessed to get to travel inside our country and outside our country. . I have flown to Hong Kong and back (by myself – yeah, really) – 23 hours to get there, 36 to get back (too long to tell). 11. I have sat in the cockpit of a F-16 plane (with a Rear Admiral perched at my shoulder saying, “don’t touch anything yellow, Cindy!”) – so I didn’t! 12. I have a son who is almost the breath in my body. . I have a daughter who is indescribable – I want to grow up and be like her one day. – really. 13. I am sensitive – to a fault. 14. I have made the mistake of trusting the wrong people and not trusting the right ones. 15. These are NOT in the order of importance. :)
