okay so I have to say that all in all it was a great Pride weekend. A few comments but for the most part great. My complaint...I have always enjoyed watching the closing night Starlight Cabaret. However, recently it has become long and well, BORING! Dearest Amorettes, at one time you used to entertain and raise money for amazing causes, now you just raise money. The closing night cabaret is supposed to be fun and upbeat. I am so tired of your political message ruining what is supposed to be a good time. Sometimes there is such a thing as TO DEEP! Also, whomever is in charge of selecting the line up and song choice needs a swift kick in the small of your back....DO NOT let queens do slow numbers...ugh what a way to kill a buzz at PRIDE. If that is all you can do as a drag queen then the Starlight Cabaret is for you! Where are all the young black drag queens that used to get up there and just buck? Where is all the drag talent in Atlanta. At least Phoenix had a production..... I am no drag queen nor do I want to be one but I can tell you that the numbers at teh Starlight Cabaret have begun to dwindle because the show is BORING!!!! It is PRIDE and it is once a year so how about learn a new song or get a new outfit, something, anything new rather than the only numbers you do during the week.
