okay, so I made the mistake of reading the comments under the MSNBC link of Jimmy Carter I reposted. *Sigh* People are stupid. And I say that because of the ignorance I just read. Ignorance that is born from laziness. People would rather just regurgitate what a political party or their parents say, instead of researching and understanding the truth. Do you have to be heard so bad, that youll just say anything? One person said that Carter was lying about christian because there are no christian or religious democrats. Okay, youre an idiot. Then there were a few people who said that Carter was the worse President under Barack Obama. Really? hmm...I suppose history started when Ford left office? Oh it didnt, youre saying there were 38 Presidents before James Carter? OH! Like that dude, Herbert Hoover who lost control of our finances and steered us into a depression. Or that other guy, Andrew Jackson who signed off on the ethnic cleansing of thousands of Native Americans and forced them to relocate across the country by WALKING?! Then there was that guy, Richard Nixon and his whole spy operation at The Watergate Towers. Lets not forget William Harrison...but wait, how can we remember him? He died 30 days after his swearing in because his arrogance made him think it was a good idea to stand out in freezing temperatures and talk for hours during his inauguration. And then there is my FAVORITE Franklin Pierce who add states to slave borders...therefore making slavery legal in more states! NICE! You wanna talk deficit and corruption? You might wanna look up Warren G. Harding! Now...Im pretty sure that Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter did a much better job than some of these fools. So can we PLEASE PLEEEEASE pick up a book and put down our smart phones? #ICant #ImJustSayin #KnowYourHistory #BeSmarterThanTheRhetoric
