okie dokie cow pokies..been mixing..three songs done..didnt go to la. drummer had travel come up..waiting for him to get back to the states..and one other singer to get back too heres my mixing credo to make a roots rock record: take out the lip smacks, leave in coughs, string buzzes, pedal squeaks, 60 cycle hums and have george reiff mix it..i really think if i were given the budget and opportunity to work with any producer/engineer in the world, i would still pick george or gurf or lloyd..they have hearing given to only a few and they have impeccable taste and they dig the grit and honor the groove and they search for tone like it was the grail and nothing cliched or mundane or less than ultimate cool get by them. speaking of tone, i just got a brown box pedal and i believe it is the answer to the riddle of the sphinx..wait, thats man.. okay. the secret to the universe..no thats an E chord without the 3rd..okay..whatever. im digging it like crazy ..if you got an old tube amp, at least check it out..i dont do a lot of endorsements..estes audiology, gibson, elixer strings are acknowledged on my website and id use them even if i didnt get a deal and even if they were made by mean people..but they are nice people.. okay back to the brown box.. heres the website for how to find everlasting happiness, true love and..sorry, that a little over the top. how bout go to amprx.net if you get a chance and read about it and then make a decision if you want one. judy went to the shelter in bandera and got a dog..named it river..it is sweet..didnt take long for her to find out that otis, the cat formally known at opal will not share his/her food bowl..however within three days all three were sleeping on the front porch together.. thats it. find a cool vibe and dig it. rwh
