...on Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, I prayed one day there - TopicsExpress

...on Veterans Day, formerly Armistice Day, I prayed one day there would be no cause for people to take up arms against each other, a time in the developmental history of mankind when peace shall prevail. My heart, my prayers and my gratitude is always with those service men and women who stand watch, and defend freedom. The sacrifices of emotional and physical wounds, and the ultimate sacrifice of those having died in battle are beyond measure and beyond human comprehension. All people on earth deserve to enjoy the same freedom and hope we in the United States of America have come to know. I shall continue to pray and work for peace, and I know, a soldier above all others prays for peace, as General Douglas MacArthur said. Peace dear friends, and remember every single day is a good day to offer a word of comfort and appreciation to a Veteran...
