on the Irish Draught linear profile, the first 27 elements relate to conformation of the horse and the next 17 (2 sections) relate to movement, and indeed more if one takes into account jumping on stallion profiles. Inspectors are thus obliged to consider this in grading. Strictly speaking there is only one aspect that relates to type (no27) Which is more important type or movement? yes I know you are all going to say you need both....in an ideal world..... but which has primacy, a correctly conformed horse with good type, but average or poor movement OR a horse with a less obvious type and great movement.....
