one from years past.... TO BUSY? I can hear you say you’re beautiful As I stand looking in your eye To me you are so wonderful We’re meant to be that’s why So something got in the way Let’s not give time to evil Let’s rise above it in this day And ride on wings of eagles I can feel your love falling down on me How precious to be face to face I turn my head and you’re all I see At your table you set my place Your mercy is amazing Becoming human for me Your fire is blazing Christ’s truth has set me free Papa I just love you so much Your lion’s roar says you’re mine I long to always feel your touch To be with you all the time I wrote this poem as I stood staring at my cat in the eye. He came into the room demanding attention the way he always does. Then he went to the old radiator which has a cover over it for heat and stared at me. He watched for awhile and I stared at him. Later he went to sleep and he looked so peaceful. It all reminded me so much of God and me. I can remember me thinking how beautiful he is. With me, Alex the cat looked for my attention and having got it, needed to be with me to have peace and rest. Not that he could have slept somewhere else but it was with me he felt at home. I see god who made us in his image looking at us and thinking we are beautiful and wanting to convey that message to us. The love he wants us to feel is our peace and rest. I saw as we spend time with him we are brought to this special place of rest. This is where we feel love. His love for us is a shelter away from the world. The world disappears in this love. Oh to have this love all the time and to walk in the kingdom of heaven. On earth just as it is in heaven. I also saw how God the father uses that which he puts here to speak to me and lead me to those places he is. If I remain open to those things and use what he has given me I can hear him talk. I just love him so much. I also see how we turn around to face him we are in a position now for him to be face to face. It is here that he can speak into our hearts and bring us to a place that he wants us to be. A lot of times we are so busy with what we are doing we can’t come here. So it is with my life that most of the time in my busy-ness I could not hear him. This place he brings us to is a place of feeding and rest to restore us. We can be so filled that it spills over to everyone around us. The daily bread is so important. It is by this feeding we now have fuel for the love which he puts in us can now burn. It is like a blazing fire that continues to build our faith and trust in him. His lion and Lamb has come to bring us into this strength and gentleness of spirit. To make us whole in being under his blood! We have been reconciled to the lord by the author and finisher of the word. Will you come to him now? Will you allow him to say what he longs for you to know? You are beautiful to him and he longs so much to be in relationship all the time with us. WHM
