If you absolutely must continue with this plan, for the love of God, do not start hosting clients who rely on you for their website to remain operational until you have considered these things: Do you have a business plan? Do you know how to secure a server to prevent rootkits, injection attacks, etc? Are you of a legal age to file Articles of Incorporation? (unless you want to be personally liable for any lawsuits or damages that may float your way) Are you prepared to operate without profit for at least 6 months? Do you realize you will be competing against thousands of others who are selling the exact same thing as you, but have been doing it longer? What is your niche going to be? What differentiates you from the other web hosts? I recommend this: start with reseller hosting - dont go and rent a server (if thats what you were considering). When you have questions, your web host can help you out. Slowly youll gain experience and can move to bigger and better things (VPS, dedicated server).
