one step lost in this wilderness feasting on locusts and honey naked and dry and cracked and stumbling i cannot talk to you anymore i remember speaking in the tongues of angels lifetimes ago there are no words now just this groaning spirit that cannot find solace in silence i remember singing songs touching your face healing the sick gold dust feathers jewels from heaven begging for the resurrection of the dead then your one step caused the earth quake broke my road and i fell and fell and fell with dirt and rocks with people and animals with cars and buildings with plans and prophecies into the abyss all the way down to this desert springing up with new life can I take one step toward you when everywhere is where you are? jennifer hill 03/06/2014
