our band-Platonic Onion, is having an all acoustic & freestyle open jam, this friday night at 8:00 pm. Everyone Welcome-singers and instrumentalists alike. Two rules: acoustic instruments only (no electric instruments or amps) and no written or cover songs. (freestyle means play what you feel- emotionally, not what you have learned, practiced and/or written out like a math problem.) i know its not popular opinion that a band shouldnt do cover songs and math rock but, Ive found that its much more fun to be free to express what mood youre in through music, instead of rehearsing a set of songs like bible verse oriented prayer.
