our dog has responded very well to treatment with prednisone. after only a few weeks she is on 5mg. every other day. i will keep her on an all natural diet including treats i believe she was reacting to preservatives in regular dog food and treats as her symptoms came and went and seem to correspond with my running out of her all natural dog food (which i usually fed her). my daughter picked me up a bag of regular food on both the first and second occasion she had gotten symptoms after being on the reg. food for a few weeks. i also will not put her on any oral (capstar or comfortis) or systemic (frontline etc/) flea treatments nor will i put her on the oral heart worm pill that includes the flea treatment (trifexis, revolution etc.). please keep us updated here on your dogs progress. hoping all your puppies will be feeling better soon!
