our plumber guy came as the kitchen sink was plugged up. The house being so old some of the piping is the same as when it was new. I learned a valuable lesson from him. Once a week or so let a sink full of water run without letting it down the drain. Then take the plug out and all will run through the pipe instead of the little bit from normal use. To permanently fix the problem it would entail getting into the wall and replacing the old pipe with what is better, but that is major. So now I will allow a sink full of water to drain all at once at least once a week and he said that should keep a good flow. Lesson learned.
