#paducah 6/12/14: Evening update - Here comes the rain again Falling on my head like a memory Falling on my head like a new emotion Great song, but not what you want to hear this evening ;) Light rain is moving back into western Kentucky and southern Illinois from the west. The system has struggled this afternoon to maintain intensity. Basically some dry air has been eating away at the rain. Regardless, rain should slowly move into the area later this evening and overnight. Ending from west to east by Friday morning. If you check out radar you can see two distinct areas of rain. The first band, which has been weakening over the past few hours, is moving across the Mississippi River. The second band is further west in southeast Missouri. THAT band should maintain intensity (which is fairly light to begin with) as it moves east. A few rumbles of thunder possible. Heavier activity will remain down in west Tennessee. No severe weather in our local counties. Rest of the weekend should be dry. Remember there is a small chance for a pop-up thunderstorm on Sunday. Odds favor you staying dry. Radars are up and running (beginning later in June the city view radars will work with all Apple products) weatherobservatory/weather-radar.htm
