parkrunners, lets have a serious chat. Its going to be a relatively on sided chat, but lets do it all the same. We need around 15-17 volunteers to make parkrun happen each weekend, these roles include the following: Run Director, Course Marker, Equipment Set-up, Timekeeper, Token Giver, Funnel Manager, TWO Barcode Scanners, FIVE Marshalls, and if were lucky well have people to lead the warm-up, take photos and tail run. So as you can see, we need a lot of help to get parkrun organised! Were short about 10 volunteers for this weekends run. For our parkrun to thrive we need anyone whos a regular to help out at least once every 10-12 runs. So if youre loving your free, timed, weekly 5K in Sydney Park - nows the time to get involved! If youre one of the faster people who finish in the top 20 and rarely volunteer - its entirely possible for you to finish your run, have a quick rest and then pick up a barcode scanner or take up duties at the finish funnel.
