#pcos #pcosaa #cyster question - I was on the pill - TopicsExpress

#pcos #pcosaa #cyster question - I was on the pill (Ortho-Cyclin) for 12 years. Due to infertility (me and my husband, Double whammy! ) and that I was getting a period twice a month, I decided to come off. Ive had a regular period for a year now, but theyve been extremely heavy (super plus tampons, frequent changes/leaks etc.). After my last appointment with my gyno she suggested going back on the pill just to control the heaviness of my period. I asked about the pill that gives you 4 periods a year , and she said it wouldnt do me any good to switch pills, but that I could skip the placebo pills for 3 packs and take them on the 4th, giving me the same effect. Has anyone else done anything like this? And what success have you had with only having a 4 periods a year. ALSO, is there anyone else dealing with PCOS, and not looking to get pregnant? Just manage symptoms? I have an appointment with a Reproductive Endocrinologist soon, but its always nice to have some advice from someone who has been there.
