please read and share .... open letter from frustrated FC GOA fans.. . #FcGoa Amit Hegde The below letter was written by Sohail Shaikh and myself (Amit Hegde) to herald as well as Navind times. Since we aint sure its gonna get published i am posting this here. plz read it and let me know what you think. i feel each and every one of us should know what is going on. Respected Sir, The most awaited match of the ISL for all the goenkars was the semifinal match between FC Goa and Atletico de Kolkata. The second leg of the semi final was supposed to be played on 17th of december 2014. All the goans were waiting for the big day 13th december 2014 when the tickets were supposed to be made available for the public. The sale of tickets were supposed to begin from 10.00AM onwards. The so called as lazy goenkars were waiting in queue from 6.00AM onwards. My friends and myself were waiting in queue from 7.00AM onwards. There were hardly 500 people ahead of us. Some of my friends were also waiting online to buy the tickets. There were restrictions on sale of tickets per person. One person could buy only 3 tickets if physically present and if booking online it was restricted to 2 tickets per person. As the sale tickets began, the queue started moving ahead slowly.By 12.30 the queue came to halt.Still there were around 300 people ahead of us and behind us there were around 1000 people more waiting for tickets. When inquired we were told that all the tickets are sold out. We were utterly disappointed as well as shocked. Than we called our friend to see if they got the tickets online. They informed us that it was not possible to book tickets online as the payment page was not getting processed. They were continuously from 10.00AM and at 12.00PM it displayed that all tickets were sold. Since there were only two outlets panaji and margao. Assuming that there were 500 people ahead of us in margao and around 1000 people ahead of us in panaji the total comes to 1500 people. Let us round off the figure to 2000. So assuming that each person bought exactly 3 tickets, the number of tickets sold comes to 6000. let us consider 2000 tickets were sold online though the site was not working properly. Still the total sale comes to 8000. Since 18000 tickets were made available to general people. and assuming only 8000 were sold. Where were the remaining 10000 tickets gone. The sale of tickets seems to be suspicious The policy of selling the tickets was not transparent. Looks like its wide scale corruption going on in the sale of tickets. For the previous matches it was the same case. We were told tickets were sold out but most of the seats in the below compartment were empty in the stadium. We wish to get the answers from the management and the responsible authorities. Thank You. plus:- today some tickets were given out(very few) and people waiting in line from 5 am didnt get the tickets. so youll can guess how many tickets were sold today. I have no idea whats going on. But i am sure we all need answers to this. Is this some black ticket scam? Is the Goverenment involved???? Has Parrikars departure led to this??? or was the government always this way?? or some third party is involved??? plz leave some comments below if youll manage to read it fully share if possible. .every single like/share/comment will b counted as a step towards anti-corruption... #YN
