please save LABYRINTH! ***SENIOR CUTIE NEEDS YOU!*** A volunteer writes: I did not know what to think or what to do with Labyrinth, an older dog laying flat like a pancake in his kennel. Are you a nice dog? Can you walk ? His right eye is opacified, an old scar marks his head. He seems so wasted... I call him and he gets up slowly, gets leashed easily and exits almost effortlessly his kennel....We climb the steps to the yard and take a walk. Pretty good! Labyrinth does a lot of sniffing although he does not mark. He is an old guy but wears quite a nice thick coat with lovely markings. Indeed, he is a cross between a rottie and a Shepie. He is lost, very clearly and old and as a result, appears a bit aloof. Still, he comes when I call him by his given name, settles slowly by my side and accepts my caresses, giving a lick on my hand. I totally feel comfortable with him and I think, him with me. He has a hefty appetite and gulps in one sec, roastbeef and other soft treats...Labyrinth is an elderly gentleman who might have been a yard dog. His care was dismal and came to us, barely walking as a result of arthritis. The medical folks gave him some pain reliever and as a result, he feels much better. Labyrinth did well on his behavioral evaluation at the care center and would love to spend his golden years, warm, toasty and loved with an owner or family who appreciates the elderly. /898480720164808/?type=3&theater
