please save PANDA! ****SAD AND ABANDONED DESPERATELY NEEDS A FRIEND** A volunteer writes: I wish I knew Panda but the sad truth is that this beautiful girl was so traumatized by her recent abandonment, shes taken her heart and hidden it safe behind a layer of dont-touch-me growls and leave-me-alone tail tucks. The one bright spot in Pandas world right now is other dogs, she seems to love them and when given a chance to get up close and personal her ears perk up and her tail actually wags with happiness. Surrendered to our care along with her big (in every sense of the word!) brother Ukon (A0800931), the Panda described by her former owner is a completely different dog to the one we havent even begun to know. Shes said to like playing with stuffed and chew toys, to be house and crate trained (nicely confirmed on our walk) and to enjoy sleeping in bed with her people. Were told shes also afraid of loud noises and taking a bath, even going so far as to flee from the sound of running water! Panda is clearly a smart girl and in a real home she should blossom once more into the pet whose owner said his favorite thing about her was how lovable and friendly she is. There must be someone out there with the patience to give Panda whatever time she needs to recover from her loss and return to the happy, loving and playful girl she was always meant to be.
