In 1903, the safety razor with disposable blades was introduced by King Camp Gillette. Later plastic disposable razors and replaceable blades became common. The electric razor went on sale this day in 1931. It was introduced by Jacob Schick and manufactured by Schick, Inc. The electric shaver does not need shaving cream, soap, or water. A small motor powers it by electricity or batteries. ITS TIME TO THINK! 1. List all the appliances you use that require electricity. Put them into categories. 2. Describe a new electric invention for the kitchen/family room/ living room that we will need in five years. 3. Invent a way to watch television programs without using electricity.
