prices of fuel have increased again for the third time raising the cost of living for Kenyans days after the government increased tax on basic goods. The prices of Super petrol have increased by Sh1.62 to Sh113.88 while that of Kerosene is up by Sh1.63 to Sh85.56 with Diesel rising by Sh1.11 to Sh105.55 for consumers in Nairobi. The new prices are for the rest of September to mid October. The higher prices are set to have a ripple effect on the prices of other commodities due to higher manufacturing and transport costs. This comes amidst the implementation of the VAT act which has increased the prices of basic goods by 16 per cent.
