#qldpol This morning I asked the Integrity Commissioner whether there were any constraints on MPs releasing publicly the advice they receive from him. I also asked whether there was any constraints on MPs publicly releasing the information they provide to the Commissioner on which they seek his advice. Then later during Question Time, I asked whether anybody believes that the first time the LNP Government heard about the Skyride cable car proposal on the Gold Coast was when the Assistant Minister to the Premier, Ray Stevens, announced it in the Parliament in October (FYI the Skyride website was registered in July and the business name was registered in August). Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney instead said Labor should ask questions about the big issues. Clearly matters of integrity and accountability in government dont count? He did suggest the questions should be about jobs but Im not sure why hed want us to ask about why unemployment has skyrocketed to 7% under the LNP. Every other time weve asked questions about the jobless rate and the slow economy, they dont answer.
