reading the lyrics to the song "red neck woman" i notice the tragedy of such mentality. its pitiful how folks will knock good things and embrace an inferior lifestyle. its the case of cutting off your nose to spite your own face. devistating. its no different than the ghetto trash mentality either. its an underachiever mindset. the good life is just that, the good life. champagne wishes and caviar dreams are more than delightful. luxuries are treats in life. there is nothing wrong with being rich or sophisticated. however, folks who subconciously feel they cant achieve this in america, the land of opportunity will cry sour grapes, instead of striving to gain it. go to the ghetto or backwoods today. then go back in 10 years and you will see nothing has changed and little has improved. then go back 10 years later to find the next generation of underachievers in a sorrier state than the former. its a downward spiral. ever notice how the ghetto never progresses as a neighborhood? the sad part is that those who do try to improve conditions find their works vandalized. the have nots in society, do not want to have. progress takes work and takes them out of their confort zone. so songs like "red neck woman" just celebrate failure in life. they reinforce crude stagnation. the give little hope to improvement. basically they oppress folks to plummet to the bottom of the barrel. it doesnt matter if you are in some backwood or some ghetto, its all about if you move up. bella ;)
