readings FIRST READING Gal 3: 1-5 Saved by the Act or by faith? Reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Galatians Poor fools of Galatians, who hath bewitched you so? But I had presented to you Jesus Christ, who was crucified. I have only one question for you: the Holy Spirit, have you received for having kept the law of Moses, or for listening to the message of faith? How can you be so mad? In the beginning, you were relying on the Spirit, are you now ending relying on the flesh? Would you experienced such great things for nothing? Certainly not for nothing! If God gave you a gift of the Spirit, he works miracles among you, is it because you observe the law of Moses, or because you have listened to the message of faith? PSALM Psalm: Luke 1: 69-70, 71-72, 73-75 A. R /. Blessed be the God of Israel, for he has visited his people. He raised up for us a mighty savior in the house of his servant David, as he spoke by the mouth of the saints, through his prophets from ancient times: Hi who rescues us from the enemy, at the hand of all our enemies love he shows to our fathers, memory of his holy covenant; Oath swore to our father Abraham we went without fear, so redeemed from the hand of the enemy, we should serve him in righteousness and holiness, in his presence, throughout our days. CHEER Acts 16: 14 Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Lord God, open our hearts with love to scan the words of your Son. Hallelujah. GOSPEL Luke 11: 5-13 Praying with Confidence Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke Jesus said to his disciples: Suppose one of you has a friend and go to him in the night to ask him, Friend, lend me three loaves: one of my friends happen to trip, and I n have nothing to offer him. And if, from the inside, the other replied: Do not come to torment me! Now, the door is closed; my children and I went to bed. I can not get up and give you anything , I assure you that even if he does not get up and give friendship, it will rise because of the carelessness of a friend, and he give him everything he needs. Well, I say to you: Ask and you will get; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door opens. What father among you would a snake to his son asks for a fish? or a scorpion when he asks for an egg? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father he will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
