#rehab Day 12 continued... At one time, hiding bottles all over my house seemed like a good plan. My therapist said a very good thing to me...You crossed an imaginary line. If you could have seen it, you wouldnt have crossed it. No child hopes to grow up to become an addict. It happens one compromise at a time.... My sponsor talks a lot about compromise and where it takes you. Emotions are tricky. They can lead us down dangerous paths. As a lost, rejected and severely abused little girl I let my emotions take me all the way to the depths of destruction. So many chances. So much grace. Looking back I see the protection on my life. Cars wrapped around trees, jail time, physical abuse, rape, and abandonment by people I should have trusted. But the good news here is that nothing is wasted. Today I am singing again. I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Am I whole yet? No. Am I on my way? Oh definitely yes! God upholds me with His right hand. ❤️ Im working with a sponsor and Im doing the work. Painful? Yes But Im so worth it!!! xox
