Trusmadi at its height of 8,669ft, is the second highest mountain in Malaysia. There are two main features of Mt. trusmadi, i.e. the endemic Nepenthes Trusmadiensis was only found here and seeing the view of Mt. Kinabalu from here. The view was said to be the best in Malaysia. Program Itinerary Monday 02/03/2015 1000 am: arrive at KKIA airport 1030 am: proceed to tambunan via 4wd. Lunch along the da way 1730 pm: Proceed to Tambunan Town by self-drive 4wd. 1930 pm: Arrive at Tambunan District. Meet with mountain guide. Check inn tambunan resort. Dinner is provided. 2200 pm: Sleep and have a good rest. Tuesday 03/03/2015 0500 am: Wake-up & Self preparation 0600 am: After breakfast, proceed dayhike trekking 3 hours to the summit of Mount Trusmadi. From Tambunan proceed by 4 wheel drive to the drop-off point at foothill of Mount Trusmadi. Proceed to 4wd trail to the starting point of Mount Trusmadi (1 hour 30 minutes 27 km). 2 river crossing. 2100 pm: arrive at the end of 4wd trail. Arrive at the starting point of mount trusmadi. (4.9km hiking up and down to trusmadi summit from this starting point). 1145 am: ETA Reach trusmadi summit and see unique plants. 1300 pm: Descend to starting point. 1500 pm: arrived at resthouse. Lunch is provided 1700 pm: Arrived at starting point and proceed to Tambunan town. Proceed to Kota Kinabalu Town 2000 pm : arrive at KK town. Check in at Akmal Resthouse 2100 pm : Grand celebration dinner at one Borneo Kota Kinabalu 2355 pm : Sleep and have a good rest Wednesday 04/03/2015 0700 am: shopping, relax and easy 1330 pm: flight return to KL 1530 pm: arrive at KLIA. End of events. a.
