says in the old days (before the advent of the supermarket) there - TopicsExpress

says in the old days (before the advent of the supermarket) there was a specific law called Blue Law. It was a very popular law back then which prohibited all business from operating on a Sunday. Back then, retails stores were forced to close on Sundays. Back then, most grocery stores were closed on Sundays. Back then, most jobs made it mandatory for a person to take Saturday and Sunday off. The reason why I dont work Sundays is because my job does not require me to work Sundays. Yes, I have stood up to people before over working the Sabbath. Today, most jobs are FORCING PEOPLE TO WORK ON SUNDAYS! Im sorry, but I believe Blue Law should be enforced fully once again. Most people dont get a chance to spend time with their families anymore nor go to church. Yes, I know Christian people that work on Sundays and they are never happy working that day. But we need Blue Law back to help bring back morality and bring back faith in this country. Corporations of course will bribe Congress to not bring it back since it would DISCOURAGE CAPITALISM! Makes me wish I was living in the 1940s when Blue Law was very strong!
