school cleaner Job description Job Description:School Site Cleaning Operative The successful candidate will be required to: · Clean all designated areas to a high standard · Utilise cleaning materials as required in accordance with manufacturers and company colour coding guidelines · Sweep and mop hard surfaced floors thoroughly · Empty and clean bins and remove waste to designated areas · Clear and clean drying room areas · Spot clean spillages · Carefully dust/wash desks, seats, ledges, skirting boards and other places where dust lodges · Clean toilets, toilet areas and replenish toiletries etc. · Cleanse hand basins in all toilets · Wash off dirty marks on wall tiling and mirrors. · Clean internal glass, internal and external door glass · Carry out such other duties as may be allocated from time to time Essential Requirements: · Required to have Enhanced CRB Disclosure (Cost covered by employer) Expectations: · Report to work each day on time · Comply with company and site specific safety policies and procedures · Provide an excellent level of customer service – A ‘here to help’ attitude · Be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned Physical Demands: · While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: · Walk and stand · Bend forward · Kneel down · Reach and grasp · Push and pull objects · Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs · Repetitive bending and lifting of items · Repetitive arm movements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the role outlined in this Job Description.
