shia 2 wakt ke nmz kuo ek sath perte hay ans with suni ref also There are a number of traditions from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and the Ahlul Bait (a.s.) in the important books of traditions e.g. al-Kafi, al-Faqeeh, al-Istebsaar and al-Tahzeeb that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had been praying Zohr and Asr and Maghrib and Isha prayers together in the ordinary and normal days. Since these are all Shia books, we shall give references from non-Shia books which are considered ‘Saheeh’ and as the main source of Shariat after Quran. First Hadees: In Saheeh Muslim and Shaheeh Bukhari, the books which are considered by non-Shias as most authentic books after Quran – in the chapter (combining two prayers quoting Ibne Abbas who said that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed Zohr and Asr in Medina together without any cause for fear and without in travelling. When Ibne Abbas was asked as to why did the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed as such? He replied, He did not want anybody from his Ummah to face hardships. Second Hadees: In Saheeh Bukhari, which is the topmost book among the non-Shias, it is mention in the chapter of delaying Zohr Namaz upto Asr quoting Ibne Abbas who said that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed in Medina seven rakaat and Eight rakaat (means Maghrib and Isha seven and Zohr and Asr eight). Third Hadees : In the same Saheeh Bukhari quoting Ibne Abbas who narrated that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed Zohr and Asr together and Maghrib and Isha together, without any cause for fear or travelling. When Ibne Abbas was asked why, he replied: The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) did not want to cause hardships for his Ummah. Fourth Hadees: al-Tabarani from Abdullah Ibne Masood said that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) prayed Zohr and Asr together and Maghrib and Isha together, and when he was asked why did he pray together, he said: I did this not to put my Ummah in hardship. This hadees is mentioned in Sharh al-Mowatta’a by al-Zarqani, vol. 1, p. 263. Fifth Hadees: When Abdullah ibn Umar was asked as to why the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was praying Zohr and Asr together and Maghrib and Isha together without in travelling and without any cause or fear, he replied: He did that not to put his Ummah in hardship. This hadees is mentioned in the famour book, ‘Kanz al-Ummal, vol. 4, p. 242. Sixth Hadees: In Saheeh Muslim it is said that Ibne Abbas stated: We used to pray two prayers together in the time of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.). It is to be noted that Muslim in his ‘Saheeh’ had kept special chapter (for combining two prayers without travelling) in which he had mentioned more than ten authentic ahaadees proving that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) had been praying together without any restriction or reason thereof. The reasons of combining of two prayers is clearly mentioned in the traditions that ‘not to put the ummah in harships’, because separating Zohr and Asr and Maghrib and Isha, causes sometimes harships, specially for working and busy people. The difficulty may cause in leaving the praying of Namaz. Some important Benefits: Combining two prayers is a facility and bounty and gift from Allah (s.w.t.) to the believers because He knows that this is the practical way to pray for many persons in a number of circumstances. Nobody has got the right to close his gate of Divine Mercy which was practiced many a times by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.). There is a tradition that once someone complained to Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s.) that he was rich and became poor. Imam (a.s.) told him, Combine two prayers, then we will find what you like. (al-Wasael, vol. 2, p. 162) Conclusion: From all the aforesaid evidences from Quran and authentic ahaadees, it is obviously proved that praying Zohr and Asr together, and Maghrib and Isha together is the real Sunnat and the way of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.). Those who deny they are denying real Sunnat and objecting on an act which was done by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) himself. Those who are following the real Islam i.e. Shias, are following the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and practicing whatever was said and done by him.
