sitting here waiting for Sherifs department to show up.. someone hacked my Verizon and Ipad account and ordered 2 iphone 6 and 2 sim cards for them. I only knew because I had misplaced my phone and was on my account to suspend service when I saw an order placed on Oct 14th with my Ipad phone number attached.. clicked on order link and someone had changed my billing address to Cedar Falls IA. Then I clicked on the tracking page and the package was returned to Verizon because no one to sign for it.. thinking I lucked out! Called Verizon and they said I have to call back tomorrow when fraud department is open.. I was able to find the link to the receipt of the items.. they purchased them in Georgia using a Discover card that thankfully was not Mine! But wow.. the minutes and data they could have racked up on my number and identity theft that could have happened! Changed my passwords and luckily just found my cell phone. I would have never known had I not misplaced my phone.. and we wouldnt have gotten a bill next month if I had not logged on and saw a weird billing address.
