so a customer came into my job today and was truly pleased by my hard work and customer service. i then stood there as she was telling another lady about her job working with children and teens that are institutionalized and raised by the state. she was saying how those kids are hopeless and it its nothing but a waste of time because they are damaged. after i handed her her food with a smile, i looked at her and said, i was one of those delinquents you are speaking of, and i turned out fine. then i walked away and cried my eyes out. these kids deserve so much more then they are given :-(
