so because some of you were (apparently) born dumb let me explain this as typically and kindly as i can ... working in the tourist industry nowadays is the most grandiose of farces... i never wanted to work in tourism in the first place, but recently due to the acquisition of my degree i get nudged and poked to that direction... let me be crystal clear on this issue i HAVE considered it as an option AND I HAD sent some CVs to some touristic enterprises but (and its a BIG BUTT) greek tourism does not pay... not any more at least, when you see an advertisement for a job vacancy that says and i quote will provide board and food, for cleaning or 30 days work no dayoffs 500euros per month i am sorry honey you are not looking for employees you are looking for sheep... i understand that due to the crisis lots of wages had to be toned down but consider this how come the prices are not falling? (sure they had a small drop but it was calculated due to the supposed drop of incoming tourists - but nothing major). i REFUSE to work as a slave (and you should too) maybe i am comfortable with the scraps that my parents throw me, some people are not even that lucky still i would urge/encourage anyone NOT to work there and be played by the classic neogreek business man with black money and your blood splattered around the work environment!!!
